Within the boundaries of Riverdale Park lie three large Parks, one small one, as well as the historical Riversdale Mansion, maintained by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission (MNCPP-C.) The largest park, Riverdale Community Recreation Center, includes a large children's playground, basketball and tennis courts, as well as softball and soccer fields and picnic areas. Riverdale Community is also bisected by the popular Northeast Branch Bike Path. Two other large parks, Riverside Drive and Fletcher's Field Parks, lie on either side of the Northeast Branch (of the Anacostia River) and contain playing fields and picnic shelters/areas. A small park, Riverdale Neighborhood Park, is off 47th Avenue and has one softball field. |
