A revision of §503 of the Town Charter became effective in October 1994, eliminating town registration of voters. All residents who wish to qualify to vote in a town election now must register on a Prince George's County form. (Forms are available at the Riverdale Park Town Office.) To qualify to vote, your registration form must be received at the Board of Elections in Upper Marlboro by Monday, April 9, 2001. Candidates for office must file petition and Financial Disclosure Affidavits with the Election Judges at the Town Hall no later than 5:00 p.m., April 12, 2001, in order to have their names on the official ballot.
