In trying to map out all the streets in Town, the Public Works Department missed a few and apologizes. Please note the following corrections to the leaf pick-up schedule published in the November 2001 Town Crier: Section 1 - add the 4500 block Madison Street and the 4500 block East West Highway. Section 2 - add the 5000 block Rittenhouse Street and the 6400 block 48th Avenue. The 4700 and 4800 blocks of Rittenhouse Street should only be listed under Section 3. Section 3 - add the 6200 block 49th Avenue. Section 4 - add 48th Avenue between Oliver St and Oglethorpe Street. Please refer to the November issue of the Town Crier (Public Works Leaf Collection Schedule) and the Town Cable channel (71B) for the listing of streets in each section. The December leaf collection schedule is: Section 1 - Dec. 7 and 18 Section 2 - Dec. 11 and 19 Section 3 - Dec. 5, 14, and 26 Section 4 - Dec. 4, 12, and 21 Please rake leaves onto the Town right-of-way. Do not rake leaves into the street. Leaves must be free of branches, brush, and rocks are they will not be picked up. Please keep parked vehicles away from leaf piles. Public Works will not pick-up leaves if vehicles are parked next to leaf piles. For more information, call Public Works Department at 301-864-1803.
