Rates for advertising shall be set to at least cover the costs of production and delivery of the newsletter. All advertising, including inserts, must be clearly recognized as or marked as such. No paid advertising from the Town Crier is placed on the town's web site. Any new business may receive 1 free quarter-page ad within 90 days of obtaining its first town business license as space permits. Quarter-page to full-page notices of events sponsored by town organizations are considered advertisements. Payment for these items may be waived by the Mayor and Council, or funds may be transferred from a town budget item to cover the costs. Town organizations must request to the Mayor and Council a waiver in writing the month prior to publication. All advertising rules are to be printed in the Town Crier no fewer than two times per year, are to appear permanently on the web site, and are to be posted on the town's cable channel. The Town Crier does not accept advertisements that are electioneering.
