The Riverdale Park Neighborhood Watch is designed to include all concerned residents who wish to take a stand against crime. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at Town Hall. All residents are invited to come and learn about crime prevention methods. As a result of these meetings, residents will become more aware of suspicious activities, therefore lowering the chances of their becoming victims of crime.

The Neighborhood Watch Program also conducts community patrols. These patrols consist of volunteers who either walk or drive through assigned neighborhoods and alert police to suspicious activities. Police officers will teach each volunteer what to look for and the means of notification if trouble is spotted.

Contact Stephen Curry of the Riverdale Park Police Department, at (301) 927-4343, if you are interested in joining Neighborhood Watch.
