By Cynthia Blaschke With the destruction of the World Trade Center, the attack on the Pentagon, and the terrible loss of innocent lives in the aftermath, it is very difficult to focus on our community's needs since we all seem to know someone who was affected in this horrific tragedy. With resolve, we can move forward and proceed with our everyday routines. I am very touched by the displays of patriotism in Riverdale Park with the presence of more American flags, and candle lighting in the neighborhoods on September 14. We need to stand united behind our country, and I encourage the display of our national colors during these trying times. The Legislative Committee met August 30. Agenda items included:
