Closed: December 25, January 1 & 20.
Fall Leaf CollectionLeaf collection has begun. Please do not park vehicles on the street in front of anyone's leaf piles because it blocks collection. Rake leaves as close to the curb as possible, but do not rake leaves into the street or gutter. According to Town Ordinance Code Chapter 57, Article 1, section 57-2, "It shall be unlawful for any person to throw, cast, lay, sweep, scatter or drop any dirt, leaves upon any street, alley, sidewalk, gutter, roadway or other public place in town." Residents who put leaves on the street may be issued a municipal infraction, the penalty for which is $100. During leaf collection season, bagged leaves will continue to be collected as yard waste on the first regular collection day of each week. We ask residents to be patient. If you see the leaf machine has been to your block, it will be about 5-7 working days before the next leaf collection. We are trying to provide all residents equal service. While the town has received two new leaf machines, we are awaiting the arrival of a new truck, which is necessary to be able to pull and operate both leaf machines at the same time.
