§ Shade Trees Available

The Town of Riverdale Park and the Tree Committee are helping residents plant shade trees this fall and spring. For only $20, you may purchase a 6 foot-tall, 1.5" caliper, native shade tree valued at $100 retail. Species to be planted this fall include tulip poplar, red maple and river birch. To participate, the tree must be planted in your front yard; corner lots may also plant along the side yard. A member of the tree committee will consult with you to determine the best species and planting location for your yard. The purpose of this unique public-private program is to add to the beauty and health of the community. To sign up, call Rebecca Feldberg at 301-864-2779.

Rebecca Feldberg is the Ward 1 Councilmember.
