Recent activities include the 1st Annual Riverdale Park River Clean Up held in March and the Riverdale Park Arbor Day Celebration with Riverdale Elementary School in April. The Tree Committee is now developing proposed language for a town tree ordinance and recently applied to Arbor Day Foundation for a Tree City USA award for the town. The Tree Committee is an active sponsor and promoter of the Riverdale Park Public Private Tree Planting Partnership, a program that helps residents plant shade trees in their front yards to increase shade, canopy and beauty in our town.
