The National Congress of Parents and Teachers is an educational organization that seeks te unite the forces of home, school, and community on behalf of children and youth. It's objects are: To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship To raise the standards of home life To secure adequate laws for th ecare and protection of children and youth To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth. To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education The Riverdale Elementary PTA welcomes as members anyone who subscribes to these principles. Dues are $5 per year per adult. The Riverdale Elementary PTA held elections for officers on September 28. During the month of March, 2000, the PTA will be sending ballots home to parents to see whether there is support for school uniforms at Riverdale Elementary. Be sure to vote!
